The Roses / Las Rosas

Las Rosas place is a barrier with shallow caves and tunnels, formations among the volcanic stones. While diving one may see colored corals on the rocks and shoals of tiny fish shining in the sun. Among the sea creatures that inhabit this place you will see Atlantic stingrays, butterfly rays, flute fish, barracudas, Canarian lobster, octopus and at 30 meters depth you may enjoy the view of the black corals. The underwater flora and fauna of this dive site improved significantly since it was cleaned from the sea urchins that used to live here in great numbers.

Paradise beach / Playa Paraiso

Playa Paraiso is a volcanic plateau protruding far to the sea. The deep part of the site is a fanciful pile of huge boulders and cooled down basalts with the form of small arches and grottoes, serving as habitat for sea anemones and shrimps and as a shelter and protection for the runs of spotfin croakers. The shallow part is overgrown with sponges and shelters octopuses and cuttlefishes.

Abades

Abades is an exceptional dive site located in a protected bay we can enjoy calm waters and little to no currents. Due to the perfect conditions and depth Abades is an excellent site to conduct courses or for non- experience divers. The town is located in the municipality of Arico and is full of history: Leprosy hit the island hard in the 30s-40s, and in 1943 it was decided to build a sanatorium, a church, a crematorium and some wards. The project was never finished as science won the battle against Leprosy and a cure was found. To the entry point is 350m walk. The rock formations are stunning and the site never fails to disappoint with its abundance of aquatic life, there is a large amount of life to see, including Barracuda, Moray Eels, Cuttlefish, Trigger fish and Octopus.

El Poris

Cracks and crevasses as we follow the coastline. From the spindly arrow crabs, to the chromatic cuttlefish hanging out. This site is also a safe haven for turtles, octopus and nudibranchs, so keep your eyes open and make sure you check around the rocks. There are also a few statues down there like the Madonna one. Try to spot them all! Shrimps, lobsters, and cuttlefishes are frequenters of this site.

El Puertito

A small village El Puertito is situated in the south if the island, not far from Playa Paraiso.
A group of very friendly turtles used to live here and the visibility is rather good. El Puertito is a closed bay, so there are no currents here.

Yellow Mountain / Montaña Amarilla

The dive site is situated in Costa Del Silencio. Here you will enjoy the peculiar lava formations – rocks, arcs filled with colored corals and sponges. An underwater mountain with arcs and grottoes rises from the flat sandy sea bottom. There is some cave where getting inside is easy. Grottoes and small caves became a great shelter for fish and other sea creatures. You can meet cuttlefish, sea eels, morays, lobsters, spider crabs, big shoals of fish, stingrays, octopus, barracudas and angel sharks.

Las Eras

Las Eras is a 40 minutes driving from the diving school. We swim out past the breakwater on the top for few meters and follow the wall from 7 m depth. Even at shallow depth there is plenty of marine life, especially barracudas and trumpet fish. There are lots of rocks and little caves to investigate and usually find a hidden Fang tooth Moray. At the end of the reef there is a steep wall where we can drop down to over 30 meters. Often, we get to see rays or angel sharks there.

Callao Salvaje

The plunge site has some mind-boggling rocks and a submerged excavator. Often we can see various types of stingrays going by through an entry in the rock. The section resembles an entrance with beside it a staircase.  There are plenty of life like wrasses, damselfish, moray eels, octopus, ocean bunnies and nudibranch.

Los Abrigos Pools

The dive site of Los Abrigos Pools is located in a nature reserve about 25 minutes drive from the dive center, and is reachable mostly over a marked sand road running along the coast.

The entry-point is from a small bay with a small beach. Diving here we may observe numerous octopuses and moray eels. The interest here are the several caves and natural pools that can be accessed through various underwater openings.

La Caleta

This reef is a volcanic plateau with two islands over the sea surface. Sometimes there are moderate currents. The hardened lava created arches, craters and “mushrooms”, serving as a shelter for rays, cuttlefishes and sea slugs. Open your eyes there is a lot of Canarian lobster and anemones hidden in the rocks!

Alcala

Alcala dive site is located about 25 minutes drive from the diving school. There is a small bay with a staircase that leads us to the water that offers us a varied volcanic underwater seascape featuring canyons and steep walls. With a little luck, here we may encounter turtles and rays. There are plenty of caves and ledges to enjoy and investigate the surprises hidden behind every corner! If we venture to do the longest route, we can find the remains of a sunken car and the watchtower of an old ship.

Garachico

This dive site is located over the other side of the island of Tenerife, so becomes a full day out. We combine this dive with a couple of others as it takes some 1 ,5 hours to drive there. Once there the entry point is very easy and after a short swim we come across a large wall teaming with life and then on to a massive stunning arch. In amongst the crevices are Anemones, Octopus and Cuttle fish. This dive is well worth a day out. There you can see an amazing volcanic underwater landscape, an abundance of sealife and the old port that was destroyed by a volcanic eruption.

El Balito / Marazul

Swimming volcanic formation of caverns with sun rays through will leave us with unforgettable memories wishing to return as soon as possible. Formerly it was a banana processing plant with its own dock where the boats came to pick up said merchandise. Today the buildings are abandoned to their fate and the pier is only used by fishermen, bathers and divers. One of the highlights in Marazul is the Pyramid, a large granite corridor where a large number of beautiful trumpet fish await you. At 27 meters we must highlight the Arch, where different types of rays have made this their home. We must not overlook the great Bufadero, where we often find red crayfish and Canarian lobsters. We must not forget the caverns and tunnels that Marazul offers us, with countless beautiful sponges and jewel anemones.

Punta Prieta / El Espigón

Sandy hills and volcanic reefs with drop-off from 22m to 35m, little cavern at 33m. All kinds of moray eels, trumpet fishes, grunts, groupers, wrasses and sometimes rays. Also seahorses have been spotted here Leaving the beach of the breakwater, very beaten, we continue along the wall until we find a visor, at 20 m, under which there is a cave with the ground at 36m, with impressive life. Things to keep in mind: sometimes there is a current and a swell.
