Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater?
If you want to try scuba diving, but aren’t quite ready to take a certification course, the try dive is for you.
It’s the first dive that a person does in the sea, and it gives a first taste of breathing underwater and what is like to be a diver without any complications and always under the direct supervision of an instructor. A Try Dive is not a course and will not certify anyone as a diver, this first experience is a safe and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.
To sign up for that discovering experience, you must be at least 10 years old. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health and to feel comfortable in the water. If you have any medical conditions, please explain it to our diving instructors.
Participants on this dive programme learn the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive during a short talk (15-20min) and they get to know about the basic diving gear. Directly after that, we will have a nice boat trip along the coast during 15/20 min to go to the diving spot named Palmar wall. If the weather conditions were not the best there, we would move to another area called El Puertito, which is as beautiful. This two places are wonderful diving sites where you will have your first experience diving between turtles and diferente kinf of colourfull fishes.Pictures and videos will be taken for you underwater as a souvenir, that you can purchase later in the diving center.
Every instructor or Divemaster will accompanied a maximum of 2 participants each.Their job is to help you get into the sea and to relax .Your instructor will help you closely to control your diving gear and be sure that you enjoy your dive.
Our scuba diving try dives are adapted to each participant. There is no hurry. This is YOUR first experience.
The maximum depth will be around 10/12 meter and there will be no maximum time underwater. Your tank is full of air, we will stay until you are close to finish it (depending on your breathing, it can be between 20 and 40 minutes).
*We propose daily trip by boat or shore diving at 09-00h.,11-30h. for second dive and 14-30h. in high season
*The price is € 65 (1 Dive) per person and includes equipment, professional supervision and diving insurance.
*The price is € 90 (2 Dives) per person and includes equipment, professional supervision and diving insurance.
In that option the theorical lesson where we explain the basics of diving will be a bit more detailled and some exercises can also be done underwater depending how confortable you feel. The qualified PADI professional gives you a briefing on the effects of water pressure, how to communicate underwater, how your equipment works, and how to enjoy diving safely.
Afterwards there will be two dives.
The first one is in Palm Mar Cave. On the plato10/12 m máximum, where you will have your first contact with the underwater breathing and will just look around and enjoy.(see explanation above).
The second dive will be in another place called Palm Mar Wall (10/12 m maximum) for as long as you have air in the tank, you will dive and practice exercises that will give you more confidence (how to clean a regulator, how to recover a regulator if it comes out of your mouth, how to empty a mask in case water enters).
This introduces you to the basics of diving, but doesn’t certify you as a diver. This half-day activity, is a great option if you’ve been thinking about trying scuba diving for a while but don’t have much time while you’re on holiday. It’s also perfect for building up confidence in the water before jumping straight into a full course.
Now you have completed you first experience underwater, and loved it! What’s next? To get certified, of course! After completing the PADI Open Water Diver course, you’ll be certified to dive independently up to 18m, anywhere in the world (with certain exceptions for 10-15-year-olds). The course is just about 2 or 3 days , highly informative and very rewarding!Do not leave without asking your instructor!
